Client: Foodbank of Western Australia (Inc.) Project title: Physical activity pilot program development and implementation Duration: 8 months Scope: Gemma wrote a detailed program plan for a physical activity pilot program (Choose to Move) that would be implemented in Foodbank WA's Kimberley School Breakfast Program schools. She negotiated the program components and delivery mechanisms with the WA Department of Education, Catholic Education Office, Association of Independent Schools and relevant stakeholders before developing the program strategies, resources and evaluation tools. Gemma engaged schools in the pilot and supported schools to deliver the program strategies. About Choose to Move Gemma developed the Choose to Move project as a school-based physical activity program to increase the physical activity levels of children aged four to seven years. The pilot program was available to School Breakfast Program schools in the Kimberley region. Participating schools received sporting equipment packs and teachers were provided with a curriculum-based resource to support them to plan, teach and evaluate effective physical activity programs, policies and actions within their school. An evaluation report was written by Foodbank after this consultancy project.
